Lighting systems company HSL has supplied the lighting equipment and crew for Massive Attack's recent UK and European tour.
One of the main focal points of the show was the use of text information, displayed across 15 custom modules of Barco O-Lite 510 video screen, measuring 15m (49ft) x 3m (10ft).
Upstage of the screen, there is a truss, complete with 15 Vari*Lite 3500 Washes. These allow a wide range of lighting options, ranging from a 'pencil-like' beam to a wide wash of colour.
Furthermore, eight Robe ColorSpot 700E ATs were used for lighting to the front and sides of the stage, with four positioned for the downstage edge of the stage and four attached upstage on flightcases.
